Adult Education
The IJC is committed to lifelong Jewish learning. Our diverse adult education offerings are geared to a variety of interests. .
We host interactive monthly sessions on a variety of subjects, ranging from topical issues (e.g. the soul in Judaism, Jewish rituals around mourning), to timely ones (Shabbat and festivals), to text-based study (parasha/Tora portion of the week, keeping kosher).
Our lay-leaders also offer introduction-to-prayer classes on request, and help those members who are interested to find Hebrew-language courses.
The Rabbi leads regular lunchtime Shiurim (study sessions) in the European Quarter of Brussels, enabling those who wish to enrich their lunch hour to do so. Rabbi Nathan also leads regular Tora breakfasts - study sessions before Shabbat morning services.
The IJC's Rosh Chodesh women's group meets monthly. These peer-led meetings are an opportunity to celebrate the new month, but also to learn together in an informal setting. For information click here.
