It is perhaps not a usual subject for a synagogue pulpit or a Jewish newsletter, but this month I have been reading two books that have just been published: “Kosher Jesus” by Rabbi Shmuley Boteach (Gefen Publishing House, 2012) and “The Jewish Gospels: The Story of the Jewish Christ” by Daniel Boyarin (New Press, 2012).
