Tu B’shevat is a festival with many faces. Nowadays it is mostly associated with environmentalism and Eco Judaism. That’s a far cry from its origins as a cut-off point for the agricultural tax year!

Message from the President... (Feb. 2010)

It is now 2010. I hope you have had a good holiday break. Things are going well at the IJC. The IJC is again growing. It has gained members over the past 2 months. The IJC also is offering its members more interesting and creative events. For instance, we had a Tu B’shvat seder on Jan. 30th. We will have full day Super Shabbat on March 13 and two seders over Pesach (one on the 2nd night and a Sephardic Mimouna Dinner on the last night).
